Fitness Class Descriptions
A summary of the classes offered at Meadows Sports Centre;
Kettlercise - consists of whole-body movement exercises that deliver cardio, strength, and flexibility benefits.
Spinning - A form of indoor cycling. This work out is designed to raise your fitness levels and burn fat.
Circuits - A class that combines strength exercises, endurance exercises with high intensity aerobics.
Pilates - Focuses on posture, core strength and flexibility to improve general fitness and overall well-being.
Yoga - An ancient form of exercise, that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental well-being.
Ashtanga to Zen Yoga - The standing sequence of Ashtanga, various seated postures and mindfulness relaxation to finish.
Yin Yan Yoga - Combining slower passive postures of Yin Yoga, with the dynamic flowing postures of Hatha which are yang in nature.
20,20,20 - 20 Minutes Spinning, 20 minutes Boxfit based circuit, 20 minutes core and flexibility.
TRX - TRX suspension training constantly challenges your core for a true-total body workout.
Just B Fit - A circuit style fitness session for any age. Recommended for the more mature mover or those new or returning to exercise.
HIIT - High intensity interval training. Intense bursts of exercise followed by short, sometimes active recovery periods.
Core/Abs - This class is designed to build core muscle groups while improving posture through performing a variety of exercises that strengthen the abdomen and back muscles and increase flexibility
Meta-Fit - a style of HIIT and is designed to boost your fitness, rocket your energy levels & get massive results in the shortest amount of time possible.
Insanity - is a predesigned interval class that requires no equipment and is easy to learn and fun to participate in. INSANITY Rounds (released every other month) offer participants the opportunity to a challenging class with heart-thumping, well-timed music.
